Measure your boat

Not on our list yet? These five measurements are what decide fit.

Bimini width

Measure straight across the boat between the spots where the bimini will mount, rail to rail or deck hinge to deck hinge. That number, not the boat's overall beam, picks the size.

Bimini height

Sit in the seat and measure from the mount point up to where you want the top. Most people want 46 to 54 in above the mount.

Transom, for a shallow-water anchor

Is the back wall flat, and can you reach behind it from inside? Then the anchor bolts straight on. A jack plate or a curved transom needs an adapter plate. Measure the transom height from the bottom of the hull to the top of the back wall.

Battery tray

Measure the space for each battery: length, width and height, plus room for cables on top. Check the label on your trolling motor for its voltage: 12, 24 or 36 volt.

Seat post

Pull a seat and measure the post. See seat bases for how to tell the types apart.
